Ohio Northern University in Ada offers numerous cultural and entertainment programs. The Freed Center for the Performing Arts attracts many nationally known speakers and entertainers as well as being a first class facility for university theater and concert productions. In addition Ohio Northern is also the home to the 132 seat Stambaugh Theater which hosts more intimate and experimental productions.

The Hardin County Players, a community theater open to all county residents, perform two musicals a year, and conducts a two week summer children's theater company. The Society Singers, a local choral group produces an annual show and performs at several area events including the Hardin County Fair.
