Hardin Memorial Hospital, a member hospital of OhioHealth, strives to be the local healthcare provider of choice, offering convenient, personalized care and reliable service to improve the health and well-being of the communities they are privileged to serve. Hardin Memorial Hospital became a critical access hospital in 2002 and provides inpatient and outpatient services as well as a 24-hour emergency department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The hospital has been updating its technology and facility over the past few years to meet the community's health care needs. The updates include a state-of-the-art laboratory; a newly renovated lobby to provide patients with privacy and easy accessibility; the inpatient medical/surgical area on the third floor has been modernized; and a Women's Center that houses digital mammography, ultrasound, bone densitometry and a new 64 slice CT-Scanner. The staff of specialty-trained nurses and highly-skilled medical professionals is dedicated to providing the highest quality care with exceptional customer service.
Professional Health Care Services:
Hardin Hospice Care provides care to terminally ill patients who wish to remain in their homes, primarily in the care of their family members with the support of visiting nurses. Kenton Hardin Health Dept. offers clinics and child immunization services as well as public health nurse visits. A number of other health-related agencies are based in Kenton and offer assistance for such needs as mental health, substance abuse, cancer, heart and women's and children's health services. Hardin County is also the home of several nice nursing homes to provide care for the elderly.
